We started as a small, Black-owned family business because one truth kept showing up in every kitchen-table conversation, group chat, and beauty aisle: too many of us—across every shade, texture, and background—were tired of lotions that disappeared by noon, left ash behind, or simply didn’t deliver the deep, lasting hydration our skin deserved.

Our founder grew up in Maryland’s humid summers believing moisture would never be an issue. Life had other plans. From the dry desert air of Nevada to the biting cold of Norway, the same problem followed: no product, not even the beloved shea butter passed down through generations, could keep skin soft, protected, and glowing all day long.

Those struggles weren’t just personal—they echoed through Black households, Latino families, Asian friends, mixed families, and anyone with curly, coily, or thirsty skin. The frustration was universal, but the solutions on the shelf rarely were.

So we built one.

Demye Luxury Naturals was born in a home kitchen with simple ingredients our ancestors trusted: raw West African shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, cold-pressed coconut oil, aloe vera, vitamin E, and carefully chosen botanicals. We spent years testing, tweaking, and perfecting blends that don’t just sit on the skin—they sink in, lock in moisture for 24+ hours, and leave nothing behind but a natural, radiant glow.

Today, as a proud Black-owned small business, we craft every jar and tube with the same intention: to celebrate and nourish every skin tone, every curl pattern, every story. While our roots run deep in the resilience, wisdom, and beauty rituals of the African diaspora, our doors—and our formulas—are wide open to anyone who believes healthy skin shouldn’t be a luxury.
