We started as a small family business because the same story kept coming up at the kitchen table, in group chats and in the beauty aisle. People everywhere were tired of lotions that faded by noon, left a chalky or ashy finish, or never gave the deep, lasting hydration their skin needed.

Our founder grew up in Maryland's humid summers and assumed dry skin would never be a problem. Life had other plans. From the desert air of Nevada to the biting cold of Norway, the same struggle followed: no product, not even the shea butter passed down through generations, kept skin soft, protected and glowing all day.

It turned out that struggle wasn't ours alone. Friends and family from every walk of life, with fair, olive, golden, brown and deep skin, from dry to sensitive to simply thirsty, had felt it too. The frustration was universal, but the solutions on the shelf rarely were.

So we made one.

Demye Luxury Naturals began in a home kitchen with simple ingredients people have trusted for centuries: raw West African shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, cold-pressed coconut oil, aloe vera, vitamin E and carefully chosen botanicals. We spent years testing and perfecting blends that don't just sit on the skin. They sink in, lock in moisture for 24+ hours, and leave nothing behind but a natural, radiant glow.

Today we still craft every jar by hand with the same intention: to nourish skin and honor every story. Our recipes draw on beauty rituals of the African diaspora, the heritage of our Black-owned family, and they're made for anyone who believes healthy skin shouldn't be a luxury.
